In an effort to further the recognition of the profession of Conference Organisers and to represent the full view of all professional conference organisers (PCO’s) in Ireland (get as many PCOs as possible around the same table,) the AIPCO decided to established an Associate Membership category in 2010 in addition to the existing Full Membership.
Full Member
In order to attain full membership, a PCO must be engaged principally or on a full time basis in the organisation of professional conferences for at least 4 years.
Full members are entitled to send 2 representatives to AIPCO council meetings, but regardless of the the number of representatives, a full member is only allowed one vote when issues that require voting occur.
The AIPCO full membership logo is limited in use to full members only.
Associate Member
In order to attain associate membership, a PCO must be engaged principally or on a full time basis in the organisation of professional conferences for at least 2 years.
Associate members are entitled to send 1 representative to AIPCO council meetings, but do not have voting rights.
Associate members may use the AIPCO associate membership logo.
Membership
AIPCO membership is open to professional congress organising companies operating in Ireland, who have demonstrated the comprehensive experience and ability to organise all aspects of major international conferences.
AIPCO is internationally recognised as the industry body representing professional conference organisers operating in Ireland.
To maintain standards of excellence, AIPCO members are committed to a continuous quality assessment process throughout their membership.
AIPCO strives to continually improve the quality and recognition of this specialised sector of the tourism industry.
