Focus Ireland is a registered charity that works to prevent people becoming, remaining or returning to homelessness. The charity’s inaugural ‘Shine A Light’ Campaign attracted CEOs of Irish companies and raised €335,000 in vital funds as well as shining a light on the issue of homelessness. It took the form of a sponsored sleep out in Dublin City Centre’s Iveagh Gardens on the 19th of October 2012. Each executive participating raised €5,000 to help combat and prevent homelessness. Jane Magnier from Abbey Conference & Corporate teamed up with Focus Ireland and participated in this fantastic event.

Ronan Flood of Advantage ico ran a half marathon in the Polar Circle in Greenland on 20 Oct 2012 in temperatures of -5 to -12 degrees in aid of Crumlin Children's Hospital and Barnardos. Sarah Robson, Ronan's wife ran the full marathon and was the second woman across the line just being beaten by the local champion.
